Acer Chromebox CXI series is best suited for education, small to medium businesses and budget conscious users. It has 16 GB of solid-state drive in a compact chassis that can stand upright and can be placed at the back of the monitor. There are two models in this series, one is CXI-2GKM with 2GB memory and another one is CXI-4GKM with 4GB memory.
Acer Chromebox CXI is powered by an Intel Celeron 2957u processor based on the Intel Haswell micro-architecture. It supports up to 4GB of DDR3 1600Mhz memory and Intel HD graphics.. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. With four USB 3.0 ports and microSD card slot, this device can be used in many ways. It has dual display, for HDTV's and display port.
It is easy to clear all local user data stored in Chromebox CXI, without affecting the accounts or the any data which is synced to these accounts. It checks for updates when it is booted up and comes with pre-installed web apps and over 30,000 additional apps, themes and extensions on the chrome App Store.
It has multiple layers of security features including data encryption and verified boot, which helps Acer Chromebox CXI against online threats, malware and viruses. Every time the chrome OS boots, it checks the integrity and validity of the system files. If it detects any unauthorized change, the system will restore from a previous backup. Individual users data is encrypted automatically and protected by the Chromebox TPM 1.2 chip, which enables people to read data from a stolen Chromebox.
